SOLD. This is a nice example of early geological or mining compass and clinometer made in Germany in early 1800's. The device face has rare double 12 hours divisions and a side locking system for the compass and clinometer hand. The main needle is resting on a nice dark stone. The case is made of brass with some wear and tear and oxidation due to the age. Dimensions of the dial: 60 mm diameter and 23 mm height. The rectangular plate measures 95 mm X 72mm.
