SOLD Here is an excellent example of a fine complete set of drawing nickel silver instruments made in the late 1800's by J. Coombes Optician Devonport England. This type of instruments was used in maritime navigation by sailors, architects and mechanical engineers. The well fitted oak wood case incorporate a combination of 14 instruments: four compass dividers with additional accessories, two drafting pens, two boxwood plotting scales, two triangle ebony color rulers and a brass protractor. The wooden case is in very good condition and has the original working lock and key. The two triangle rulers have some chips. Al the instruments and the box have the original owners initials and name: W. A. Dallmeyer.
