The small field microscope is circa 1870's-1900's and was used by naturalists or students when working in the field. It has a rack and pinion focus and has three objective lens, a screw-on eyepiece and is made of lacquered brass. There is no makers mark on the microscope but it’s probably made in Germany. Considering its age, the microscope is in good condition with some wear and tear, it’s missing just the mirror. The rack and pinion focus works smoothly. The three lenses are clear, with no damage. The microscope measures 8 in height. The wood fitted case is in good condition.
The case measures 8” L X 3"W X 3"H.
