SOLD Nice example of black painted vintage railroad carbide lantern from the Osnabruck Metalwork company of Germany 1958. The name appears in raised letters on top. It is the type used on railroad and in mines. The curved top is open at the ends also the back and sides have metal doors that latch with slider pins. The metal knob for the water reservoir was replaced by a cork one. This piece measures approximately 4 x 3 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches.(The visible light in the picture is a small LED light for display not a real flame)
