This is an antique pocket barometer altimeter, thermometer and compass weather station used by explorers and travelers from late 1800s until early 1900s. The logo of the prestigious barometer maker Antoine Redier Paris is present on the unique porcelain dial. The three separate instruments are functional: the barometer scale goes from 57-80 torr or mm/mercury and the altimeter scale ranges from zero to 2400 meters adjusted by the rotating bezel with a pin. The circular thermometer shows the temperature in Reaumur and Centigrade degrees and goes from -20R to 80R and -25C to 100C. The wonderful compass has a nice blue steel needle, a yellow jewel stone silvered brass face with French and English cardinals. The locking system is missing for the compass. The device is made of nickel covered brass with nice patina. Dimensions: 53mm diameter and 25mm height.
