SOLD. This excellent example anemometer or medium speed air meter. Was made by well know scientific instruments maker Negretti & Zambra from London and was used to measure the velocity of the air currents in mines, tunnels, public buildings, etc. The device is made of brass and aluminium and has a nice silvered dial with fourth scales. On the back of the dial there is a on-and-off and re setting knob for the propeller. Dimensions: the diameter of the dial is 60 mm and the wind propeller's diameter is 70 mm and the wood case is 120 mm X 100 mm X 90 mm. This item has a detachable screw-in connector. The original mahogany case is in excellent condition, also comes with a correction card for calibration. The device has some wear and tear due to the age and is missing just a detachable screw-in connector.. The anemometer is still in functioning state.
