This is a scarce example of a pocket floating card sundial compass pantochronometer most likely made in Germany in the first quarter 1800’s. This particular piece has a wonderful painted sundial face, a Morocco leather case, paper floating card with brass gnomon and a delicate doomed glass . The floating card sometimes fells off the central needle and needs a bit of tapping to adjust. Dimensions: 65 mm diameter and 25 mm height.
