Excellent example of an early aviation altimeter Barograph made by Jules Richard Paris in 1930's. The interior of the device incorporates an aneroid movement with two capsules and works up to 4000 m. The 6 hour mechanical clock movement has a nice cylinder platform escapement and a lightweight aluminum body (the clock mechanism was cleaned recently). The mahogany case has 4 hooks for hanging on the top to damp the vibration produced by the plane. The barograph is in very good condition with some wear and tear due to the age. Dimensions: 7 1/4” x 4 1/4 ” x 5 1/2”.
