An excellent example of small three draw brass field telescope made In France in the last quarter of 1800s. The telescope focuses clear from the first draw following the eye piece. The telescope has a leather cover and a nice original cardboard case. Dimensions: 16 inch span when opened and 6 inch when closed and 28 mm object lens.
The leather cladding is a bit dry and has a bit of wear and tear.
Due to its compact size the device had many users, from the boat captain, cavalry officer or early explorer. Excellent for sightseeing and hiking.
