SOLD. The drum microscope is made circa 1880s-1900s and was used by naturalists or students when working in the field. It has a simple push-pull focus that works with a single objective lens, a screw-on eyepiece, a small reflective mirror and is made of lacquered brass. There is no makers mark on the microscope but it’s probably made in France. Considering its age, the microscope is in good condition with some wear and tear. The push-pull focus works smoothly. The two lenses are clear, with no damage.
The microscope measures 6" in height and 2" diameter. The fitted case is lacquered and is missing the two closing latches otherwise is in good condition. The case measures 6" 3/4L X 3"W X 2"H.
