Here is a fine example of spotting scope made in the first quarter of 1900's in Germany most likely used for hunting or sightseeing. The spotting scope is signed Spindler & Hoyer Gottingen and has 40 x magnification. The device is in excellent condition with some minimal wear and tear due to the age. The item comes in a original ebonized light wood case with nice brass hinges.
Dimensions: 16 1/2 inches length and 60 mm diameter object lens. Case size: 17 x 6 x 3 inches.
