SOLD This is a late 18th century string gnomon sundial made most likely in Bavaria Germany. The initials of the maker F. N. present on the compass face. The uniquely painted paper face shows the hour dials, the latitudes and and on the back has a list of the cities with the corresponding latitudes. The body of the sundial is made wood and paper.The condition of the sundial is good, some scratches are present on the bottom of the dial and the string gnomon is missing.
The dimensions of the sundial case is : 80mm x 50mm x 18mm
