SOLD This is a late 19th century pocket Barometer Altimeter and Compass combination made by the well known British scientific instrument maker Short Mason London for Taylor USA. The barometer scale goes from 21-31 inches and the altimeter scale ranges from zero to 10000 feet adjusted by a bezel.
The wonderful Royal Geographical Society Pattern floating card compass can be locked rotating the top bezel.
The body of the two devices is made from gilded brass and is in excellent condition.
Dimensions : each device is 50 mm diameter and 15 mm thick.
