SOLD Fine example of a late 19th Century brass microscope signed R & J Beck London & Philadelphia . The microscope comes in a fitted mahogany case, complete with an eyepiece lens, and objective lens and some extra lens . The microscope is made of lacquered brass. It tilts, has a rack and pinion main focus and additional fine focus. It has a round brass stage with a manually adjustable slide rest. Below the stage is a large adjustable mirror. The case has a few cracks and a small repair. Dimensions of the case: 12 inches x 8 inches x 8 inches.
