This is an antique pocket barometer altimeter, thermometer and compass weather station used by explorers and travelers from late 1800s until early 1900s. The well know British maker Short Mason Tycos signature is present on the silvered barometer face. On the ultralight and rare aluminum body and case the signature of previous owner is present. Most likely the barometer compendium was used by mountain climbers or balloonist or other explorers of that era. The device is made of three separate working instruments: a barometer with scale who goes from 20-31 inch/mercury and the altimeter scale ranges from zero to 12000 feet adjusted by the rotating bezel. The circular thermometer has a silvered temperature scale in Fahrenheit  degrees and goes from 0 Fr to 140 Fr and 0 C to 60 C. The wonderful compass has a nice mother of pearl working card.  The device comes in original wood leather and satin case. The case has some wear and tear a bit of flacking of the leather, and the locking system can be opened front and back pushing each pin separately.  Dimensions: 50mm diameter, 25mm height and the weight is just 100 grams (3.6 OZ )
