SOLD This is fine example of pocket sterling silver barometer altimeter most likely made in 1874 in London England for the German market. The silver barometer dial goes from 57-79 mm/hg and the altimeter scale from zero to 2500 meters adjusted by a bezel. The fine calibration is made with a screw in the back of the case. The body of the smaller than average altimeter is made of sterling silver and is in excellent condition with nice patina original hallmarks. Dimensions: 35 mm diameter and 10 mm height. The pocket barometer comes in a antique painted walnut case made in Nice France 70 mm x 52 mm x 21 mm.
