Here is a fine example of original 3 draw telescope made by well known maker Dollond London in mid 1800's. The serial number 5373 and the engraving of the name together with a nice mark present on the first barrel near the eye piece. The telescope is made of brass and German Silver (Nickel Silver) and covered with brown leather cladding , the dust cap look like is a latter addition. This is a fully functional telescope in very good condition with smooth draw action. Dimensions: 28 1/2 inches open, 101/2 inches closed 44 mm object lens and magnification about 20x.
