Featured below is a fine set of drawing instruments etui, made in the late 1700s early 1800’s England. This type of mathematical instruments was used in maritime navigation by sailors, architects and mechanical engineers. The well fitted etui incorporates a combination of six instruments: brass compass dividers, an unusual small bow compass for ink, a crayon holder, a bone ruler and two inserts made of brass and steel. The small Morocco leather covered case is made of wood and has a nice conical shape with matching coat of arms and minimal wear and tear due to age. Dimensions: 170mm X 60-45mm X 23mm.
