SOLD Rare example aircraft altimeter used by British RFC planes in WW1. The altimeter is made by well known scientific instruments maker Short & Mason from London. The dial goes from 0-28000 feet. The outer dial moves to calibrate the device before the flight. The device is encased in a nice walnut board for display. The dual still moves over time and when the altitude changes.
Received additional information quickly. Seller made extra effort for quick shipping and altimeter was in working order as described. Now being mounted on my vintage car.
